Visalia is a city situated in the heart of California’s agricultural San Joaquin Valley with a population of approximately 125,000 people. In 2007, it was named the 3rd fastest growing city in California and 19th fastest growing city in the U.S.

Visalia is about 230 miles southeast of San Francisco and 190 miles north of Los Angeles. It location and beauty has caused others to refer to it as the "Gateway to the Sequoias"( its the closest major city to Sequoia National Park) and  "The Jewel of the Valley".

The city serves as the economic center to the region known as the Sequoia Valley, one of the most productive single agricultural areas in the United States.
